MAKE THE PORTION YOURS
Track your portion, not an assumed 100 grams
Eating a few chips, half a packet or part of a homemade dish? Start with the food’s nutrition basis, then enter the amount you actually had.
Part of a packet
Use the package’s net quantity and the fraction eaten. For example, one quarter of an 80-gram packet is 20 grams. The app scales the label nutrition to that amount. Save a usual product in My snacks to reuse its details.
A few chips or biscuits
A piece count needs a weight relationship from the label or a measurement. If a label states 15 chips weigh 28 grams, five similar chips estimate one third of that serving. Individual pieces vary. Without that relationship, the app cannot know how many grams one chip weighs.
Rice, salad and household measures
Select a cup or piece when the food reference supplies its weight. Your bowl may be different from a reference serving. Enter a measured weight or provide the weight for your own bowl instead of treating every bowl as identical.
Home-cooked dishes
Divide a saved recipe into equal servings and log the share you ate. Use raw ingredient amounts for raw references and cooked amounts for cooked references. Build your recipe from ingredients.
Read and review a package label
Upload a clear photo of the nutrition table or enter the values manually. Review the serving size, units and extracted numbers before saving; label recognition can make mistakes. A label photo does not measure the portion on your plate.
